Sweet Emotion by Aerosmith. It's got to be one of the best voice-box guitar parts ever and that bass line - magical. And 'Hearts Done Time' is mega too, it's got whale sounds in it...

It's a good one, but Rock n Roll by Led Zeppelin is a better drum intro, in my opinion.

Or my mates mum, who threw a tray full of teacups, sugar, milk the full lot all over the landing whilst trying out his new very large speakers

The extended version of 'Dancing The Night Away' by The Motors has a fantastic intro as does 'Bad Motor Scooter' by Montrose

I picked New Order's True Faith ('94) as my contender for best drum intro, but you've kinda chucked a spanner in the works with that one!

Best intro.

Got to be the guitar riff from Blue Oyster Cult's "Don't fear the Reaper".

Absolutely spine tingling. And even better when, after the instrumental, the lead guitarist holds using feedback the longest note you ever heard - and the riff starts back up and the band come in...just superb.

Not the best song ever - but by far the best "intro".

Might have been beaten to it, but a quick scan through says not... but for most memorable intro...

shout WAR!.... HUH!.... What is it good for? Absolutely nothing... Good God y'all!

Rest of the song is crap but the intro rocks!
