Getting rid of fish
Discussion
The tropical fish in St Helens canal was true - the glass factory used to pump hot water from the glass tank cooling system into the canal known localy as "the hotties".
I used to what them being fished as a kid.
I think its stopped now but we do have big terrapins in Carr Mill Damm which pisses off the fisherman - see its not that grim upt north.
Why not make yourself some fish mittens?
I have no practical advice on what to do with tropical fish however.

Good grief that takes me back to my schooldays in St Helens with Pilkingtons putting hot water into the canal, Greenhalls brewery making the town centre reek of malted barley, and British Sidac stinking Sutton out with sulphur dioxide, but all forgiven for a Pimblett's meat and 'tater pie.
I have a similar problem re fish as I've got a garden pond with a good fifty or so exotic fish in there, all boring brown colours unfortunately, that I want to fill in and grass over.
There used to lots of coloured fish also until Mr Heron put the pond on his flight path. ( Hence why only the boring brown fish survived)
However my answer will be the fishing pools that are close by ( within wheel barrow trundling distance ) and which will be gifted the fish and the aquatic pond plants, lilies etc, late one evening. Well if the poor buggars have survived Mr Heron, and then me not feeding them for 2 years they deserve a sporting chance with the local fishing fraternity.
