Man, I just read my old post from May. Isn't it funny how things turn out - the great love of my life was just a footnote to the other two girls at that point in time, and I treated her as a hassle, rather than the future.

Lesson to be learned somewhere in that, I think. Damned if I know what it is though.

I may have, er, glossed over this issue somewhat - but genuinely, I effectively did the dirty on my work girl when I pulled current OH (and broke up with her the very next day, knowing it could go nowhere, despite her being lovely). However, didn't start going out with now OH until some time later - and in fact avoided her, while we both worked out what we wanted.

That period of reflection is, in my book, in no way 'seeing someone'. So I used it for research purposes.

1) OH is no angel, thank God (I’m not interested in nice as pie virginal girls). In all seriousness, she precipitated break up with work girl by shamelessly pulling me. So taking the moral high ground isn’t her style.
2) I think she knows that we weren’t actually seeing each other when I accidentally tripped and fell over onto Caroline a couple of times. It’s the fact that the relationship was in contemplation, and that C is a poisonous idiot (there’s a history there), that are the issues – not accusations of actual infidelity
3) She phoned up yesterday and apologised unreservedly for slapping me, bless her. I think she’s still a bit cross, but she’s starting to find this all a little bit amusing – I think we’re getting there.

Ladies, please. Your posts have a quality of bitterness, tinged with warning. I am in the first flush of love, obviously, but this doesn’t mean that my life is over. When it fades, I shall simply follow form and bury her in the back garden with all of the others. It’s the only right and proper thing to do.
