If you like Gorgonzola you'll also love Dolcelatte, it's gert lush as they say in my neck of the woods

And Cambozola too, which for a while was bizarrely named Bavarian Blue Brie (I expect the Frogs kicked up a fuss).

But you can't beat mature Stilton.

Roquefort, definitely. I went to that area of France last summer and had Roquefort salad, Roquefort pizza, Tagliatelli Roquefort, Roquefort and fresh baguette...

Visit the town and try all the different brands (and take a side trip to visit the Millau bridge, too. It's only about 20 miles away.).

For anyone who like creamy blue cheeses, I thoroughly recommend Harbourne Blue, if you can find it. It's a goat's cheese, which are by far the creamiest cheeses.

Isle of Mull Cheddar is variable, but when it's good, it's the best there is.

Oh, and it goes something like:

Camembert?
Yes, sir.
I'll have some of that, then.
It's a bit runny, sir.
That's OK.
It's very runny, sir.
No matter, I like it runny.
I think it's a bit runnier than you'd like, sir.
I don't care how fcensoreding runny it is, hand it over with all speed.
Oh, dear.
What now?
The cat's eaten it.
Has he?
She, sir.

Later on:

Cheddar?
Not much call for that around here, sir.
Not much call? It's the single most popular cheese in the world!
Not in this part of the manor, squire.
Oh, and what is the most popular cheese around here?
Ilchester, sir.
OK, I'm game. Have you got any? he said, expecting the answer "no".
I'll have a look, sir. Mmmmmmm.............. no.
I see. Quite pitiful, really. An act of purest optimism to have posed the question in the first place.

Yes, I'm a Python geek, I know.

I also like pigeon pie

Quite a few cheeses named there I've never seen or tried. Stinking Bishop sounds interesting.
Looks like a weekend trip to London is in order so I can go to Harrods Food Hall lick

Fromage Langres is lovely (and bloody strong). Funnily enough it's only produced in Langres, France. Excellent eaten with salad.

Raclette is also awesome, melt it under a grille then pour it over Potatoes and charcuterie.

There are plenty of superb cheeses made in the British Isles. Some of my favourites are Smoked Applewood Cheddar, Somerset Blue, Somerset Brie - all made not far to me and equal to any cheese I've tasted abroad.

No work today.

Should be decorating a bedroom but decided to procrastinate instead.

There's a chap from the New Forest that has a stall at our local farmer's market who sells a chilli and nettle mid chedder. It's yummy!
