I think there have been lots of good performances (except this aussie bit). Just crap continuity/coverage.

Is there a 'gold circle' at the front again for people who have paid to plant some trees? confused
Is that what the names going across the back are.....people who've pledged to plant trees for the sake of the planet, future generations and mankind......aaaahhhhhhh winkbiggrin

......or are they just the bloody tree huggers club? biggrin

Well I tuned in at 7:30 to watch Spinal Tap, then I took the various lentilists advice and pushed the TV off button!

I can't believe 3 people are close enough to James Blunt to punch him and none of them have.

Possibly the most vacuous pointless exhibition of hypocrisy ever screened on television! Our understanding of the climate system is, at best, opinion. The data that is present in the literature is equivocal, which makes it perfect for politicians and the media to play with. This live earth rubbish is simply another example of the hard of thinking being unable to apply a critical intellect to the data presented to them. However, at least we get to see a few live bands, so it's not a complete loss.

I hope the bands are getting to their next gig in a carbon effecient manner.....

I'd imagine all of them. If I was a real cynic I may even suggest they're probably being paid by our taxes...

Possibly not. But this concert is big news and involvement in it as a recording artist is guaranteed album and merchandise (the big earner) sales. So even an unpaid performance would be moola in the bank, but more likely to be the above and a cut of tickets.

Al Gore - Howz about £100000 sound

Performer - Um OK no probs Al, and what crap do you want be to spout out while I'm on stage.

Always liked the music but heard him on Radio One this week. I didn't really see the appeal until then...
