Just found out there's one based at north weald, where my brother flies from. WZ507. The one in the heritage pair is apparently XJ771, ex swiss air force, don't know where is is now though...

Worldwide there are over 80 airworthy Vampires and about 20 Venoms. Thank the Swiss Air Force mainly for operating them well into 1990.

XH558 today was carrying out full power ground runs.

It is getting VERY near to test flight time bounce

....and not a conveyor belt in sight
