There are certain individuals & groups of people on this planet whose sole purpose in lifes it seems, is to find and take offence in the most innoccuous of events. Whether it is extremist muslims ranting about a teddy bear named Mohammed or 'outraged of Tunbridge Wells' who takes the trouble to write to the BBC to complain about the use of the word 'arse' at 8:45pm - "well before the watershed", these people are like a pox, who quite clearly have too much time on the hands and I envy them that this is the most important this that they have to worry about.
I know that a great many of our Islamic chums think that this whole business is a ridiculous as the rest of us, but for the benefit of everyone, could someone PLEASE come up with a list of things that DO NOT offend muslims so we all know what we can and cannot get away with without the threat of the 'instant fatwah' hanging over us...

However, in this instance, it is like they don't want any aid. So I say fair enough, withdraw all aid from countries which allow this kind of behaviour.
Further, send in a Battalion of Paras to get her out now, and bring her home.

And quite frankly comparing 2007 with the crusades 1000 years ago is not really very accurate.

Well I actually accept that she offended their religion and think that 15 days in prison + deportation is actually fair enough. I mean recent laws enacted in the UK for inciting religious/racial hatred could mean you get up to 7 years of jail. The lashes were always over-emphasised by the media.

Maybe were should just have nothing to do with these savages.
We obviously have little in common, few shared values and they seem to have little forgiveness for someone who makes a genuine mistake and zero tollerance of other faiths religions etc.
Maybe we should pull all out do gooders and missionaries out of these places, repatriate anyone here who would prefer their way of life to ours and just pertend the whole nasty experiance never took place.
