Why do we offer help to these ers anyway?? If they are fit enough to breed then they are fit enough to work and fend for themselves. Every Brit working abroad in these Muslim countries should now come home and leave these ers to it.

Of course we must think of the children..

emotionally scarred as they have had their bear and teacher taken from them and it was all the little darlings fault.

Sue the teacher, the school - no sorry this isn't america.

Not being funny here if it's ok to name your child after the prophet why not the class bear?

Admittedly who would want to name their child jesus ffs...

Simes.

I think we should perhaps merge Islam and Hinduism a bit
You might find that a bit tricky to pull off.

I'd second this for a moment or two.

Want our money? Then don't ing threaten to kill the people that are working there. Simple really isn't it?

Must admit, I need to go read the Koran, evidently it's a pile of shite, but you really shouldn't say that without having read it.

I was thinking perhaps we should cut off our aid to Sudan perhaps? Kick them where it hurts. I hate religionist extremeists, of ANY religion. I'm hardcore atheist.

When have you ever heard of someone getting locked up or threatened with official harm for verbal law breaking in this country?

Verbal law breaking?

Erm, drunk and disorderly, breach of the peace, threats to kill, threatening behaviour, slander, plagiarism etc etc ;-)

Sorry for a second there I thought I stumbled onto the BNP website by mistake. There is some really inflammatory stuff on here with no punches pulled.

I reckon a few of you work with muslims but would never have the balls to say any of this to their face as you'll probably get battered.

Whilst I'm not pro-muslim, I am pro multi-culturalism for other religions and I reckon people like you wait in the wings for the opportunity to knock all religions which don't fit with your "white" view.

They have had to move her to a secret location now apparently.
See what I mean? The Sudanese politicos must be desperate to be rid of her before their extremist nutters kill her and bring down Armageddon on themselves. Worst of all Sudan has now been recognised as a nation of amateurs ruled by fools. No-one is going to trust them ever again and in international society they are now pariahs. They could not possibly have wanted that - their extremist nutters have dealt their international standing a deathblow. I pity them. It cannot be good internally either and certainly won't be in the future when their country suffers some disaster as it inevitably will given their geographical location.

Global warming, gentlemen? Its a weapon, now. Enjoy...

The locals were obviously not listening to the "religion of peace" bit at Friday prayers today.
Clearly not. There again - their violent time is now - Christian societies have had violent times too. Luckily we're better at it. We can't claim the moral high ground. We've just been better, historically, at violence - ish. At least when it comes to defending home territory.

We'll see who is better at what in due course.

Sadly. frown

Look, it's madness. Sheer madness.

Any religion that wants to kill a schoolteacher because of the local population's random whims deserves all of this and more.

If Christians want to set fire to foreigners who call teddybears 'Christ' then I will be the first to say f^ck them.

Sudan can f&ck right off, IMHO...

I hope she get's back ok and all UK nationals in Sudan get the f^ck out. I'm about a million miles from BNP but if we did that to a muslim in Britain, we'd get crucified!!!

im generally have no specific views on religion but surely if mohammad is one of the most popular names in the world, particularly in sudan it would be one of the top names to "name" a bear.

if she named it dave or john she would probably have been berated for insulting their religion. pure lunacy.

i would be more offended if my child went to a school with a sudenese teacher who named a teddy a sudanese name. joseph, mary, jesus (far less popular than mohammad anyway) surely can be expected.

another case of england getting walked over frown

Shite. Utter shite. I can tell you - being openly Christian on here (which I am) gets you no favours either. People of faith (I include Christians, Muslims, etc) get no quarter in debate. Nor should we. Either our faith is a force for good - or it isn't. We can argue individuals or groups are nutters and should not be regarded but that is the only defence. Most of us who are openly people of faith have to recognise that not everything or everyone who says things in our "name" (as it were) represents us. The faster those people are denounced the better it is for us.

I don't blame the secular for believing we are nutters when what we say is indefensible.

Nor should we.
