CV help, do I put what grade I got in GCSE/ A Level, or not?
Discussion
I not really interested in the past which are superseded stepping stones to rise to the degree/post grad qualification. I will look at the skills candidate says he or she has.. compare to what skills I require to assist in this field.. und grill relentlessly on interview. If person prove on second or third interview before panels at this latter stage for us.. the bese suited to us get the offers of the jobs available here
It that simple

Erm wouldn't say C.V.s in the Motor Trade are handled in quite the same way
More like, you know someone who works there, they ring you up, you organise interview with manager, have intial interview or send CV for Sales Manager and DP to look at, go for interview in said dept (New / Used etc.) perhaps have an interview with General Sales Manager (if there is one) and bobs your uncle, your offered a job or not that day!!
Nah, when you've been in the motor trade long enough it works like this, GM rings up, you have a chat about football / motorsport / cricket (delete as applicable), then he asks you if you want to work at XYZ dealership and tells you how much you'll earn, you say yes, he gets you a company smoker brought over early on monday morning by a valeter, by lunchtime monday you're settled in.More like, you know someone who works there, they ring you up, you organise interview with manager, have intial interview or send CV for Sales Manager and DP to look at, go for interview in said dept (New / Used etc.) perhaps have an interview with General Sales Manager (if there is one) and bobs your uncle, your offered a job or not that day!!

GCSE - 2005 - English, Maths, Science, Citizenship B
What does a GCSE Qualifiacation in Citizenship entail?http://www.folens.com/ftp/Samplers/samplerfc2961.p...
You can almost imagine what answers the kids are taught can't you?
I'd go with detail on the "highest" and "most important" qualifications. My FULL CV (I'm a senior academic remember) runs to 18 pages and I don't mention my 11 O'Level's 5 "A" Levels and 2 "S" Levels. I produce tailored short versions for different purposes - the best thing is to use the CV to highlight the skills and experience relevant to the post.

What does a GCSE Qualifiacation in Citizenship entail?Rates along side GSCE in getting dressed and advanced breathing
BTW - I certainly wasn't thick at school though I did dislike it. Somehow I imagine someone perhaps has some issues not being the sharpest pencil in the box, swerni.

It COULD be based on the fact that people with GCSE English Grade A* cannot determine when to use THEIR, and when to use THERE. And AFFECT and EFFECT.If I am IT contracting (mainly government), they do not really care what I did at school, they are more interested in what I can do for them.
I list my job experience, which pretty much every time gets me the post I want.
If I were to say I got a B in computer studies, which was done on BBC Micro's, it would not really help
I tend to make the CV for the job I am after. All the information is true, it may not be required to list everything.
Some councils demand to see a copy of a GCSE certificate - would be buggered on that one as it was lost years ago... then again I don't want to work for councils so fair enough

Qualifications below your highest are really only useful if you need to fill some more tickboxes on the application, after all a job that requests language skills and artistic flair but also requires your main skills might well benefit from the addition of the GCSE in whichever foreign language you studied or the art GCSE, it depends on relevance not only of the qualifications you posses to the job you are applying for but also the job related skills you bring.
