One the the Viper forums in the states has a system where people can pay for others to be banned for periods of time which is an interesting idea.

got banned from some forum a long time ago, people were putting all manner of tat in their signatures, so put in a news site that specialises in religious matters both good and bad pertaining to islam.

site owner went crazy, seems he was banging some muslim woman who wanted him to convert to islam and he got told to make an example of me

Got banned from a local forum for quoting someone else's post (after an edit for Comic effect).

My edit made the guy look like a workshy scrounger; which he is. All the leftie, 'gender confused' greenies got really upset at my humour.

I still go on there to wind them up a little, but the mods are quite sharp (if somewhat deluded).

I don't mean to play devils advocate, and I'm not supporting their decision or brucie, but couldn't you just ignore him? He is a tt, and I wouldn't shed a tear if you got banned, but I don't get wound up by him because I don't read anything he posts.
