Here are some available for sale to the general public - no idea how loud they are... http://www.tlsfx.co.uk/p-57-thunderflash-flash-ban...
They're ste. They sell them at my local paintball field.

Go homemade. Suitable thick cardboard enclosure filled with flash powder. Flash powder is aluminium powder mixed with an oxidiser - I use potassium permanganate. Both available from eBay.

Chaps,

For the next week / month or so it will be a regular thing for people to be letting left over new year fireworks off, from around tea time till midnight. Its getting on my fking tits.

The option is to nuke them from orbit.

I'd like to wait until its a school night some time mid march maybe when they won't expect it, then I'll set it off at about 3am.

It needs to be very loud but also available for purchase.

Thanks
I'm so glad that you don't live in my street.

Something someone else does annoys me, therefore I am going to do exactly the same as that, but worse/better. WTF?

I'm not condoning what the OP is trying to do by any means, but if you really want serious loudness and can pass yourself off as being in the business, then theatrical maroons or flash reports are the way to go.

Le Maitre make pyro products for use in film, TV and concerts etc. A Le Maitre large maroon or No. 5 Flash Report will do the trick. If you do find a way of obtaining them then please be careful. They don't look much, but will do a lot of damage if not handled correctly.

IMO the Proton Bomb firework was the loudest, but it has not been available since the gov't "banned" fireworks which were designed to only make a noise. Shame!

(The ones I had were single tubes rather than a pack as shown).

Yep, standing around in a freezing cold field for ages after a full days work for 10 minutes of potential fun followed by a few hours of clearing up. I do wonder myself sometimes biggrin

Ideally it would just make a noise, I don't want everyone coming to their windows seeing st loads of sparks going off in the garden.
You won't be wanting one of these then...

I wonder what would happen if you set that off in your kitchen.

Ah, but it can still be great fun nonetheless, otherwise we wouldn't do it...

See something you've spent ages carefully fusing all go off correctly is very satisfying, even electricals where you sit back and watch are great fun, especially when a shell goes off in the tube and for once you are nowhere near it...

Yeah, but aerials are just so.......boring. They do absolutely nothing for me, just do them for the craic. Ground effects are where it's at. biggrin

(I should say most of my pyrotechnic stuff is what would be described as quite specialised/what the hell!)
