Morning all, as per the subject. I'll be looking to drive from Nice to Vaujany after Christmas this year for skiing. I've done it in autumn but in late Dec is the RN going to be under snow or are we likely to be all right in a Mini Cooper S (modern one!) ?

AFAIK the road will be open, but make sure you've got winter tyres if you intend on 'making progress'

You will need to have winter tyres and should carry chains, but it will be open.

Hi all, am setting off tomorrow from Nice area and have winter tyres and snow socks. Is there a website which will tell me of any current road closures on the route? smile

On the Autoroutes the information radio station is on 107.7 but not sure if that works of the main roads.

Was fab thanks smile We didn't really stop for too many photos as we were in a hurry to get to the ski resort before it was too late. I'll see if there are any on my gfs camera in a bit....failing that, I'll stick upa a few from the previous time as a substitute!

Just remembered, she took some video....might see if I can post that up instead....
