On SZR. Anyone had any dealings with them? Quite interested in a car they have advertised, wondering if anyone has bought there before?

Don't know anyone who has bought one from there. But like most dealers...buyer beware. The name itself sound dodgy...."Ehhhhh I am Sergio....Welcome my friend. No Discounts, No refunds".

Don't discount it just because of their name otherwise Al Ain Class Motors, A1 Cars and Deals on Wheels should also be in the same category! smile

I popped in a few weeks ago just out of interest. They are opposite the Porsche used car showroom. I test drove their S5 which they had for sale. Very nice young salesman, I think from Croatia (or similar) gave me all the time I needed and an immediate test drive. In the end I chose a CTS-V but I would have bought from them if the S5 was right for me.

I bought our last car from a dealer called "the shark" not a first choice for a car dealers name in the UK!!! Seemed fine in the middle east.

Hello guys,

I actually bought a car from Sergio Motors, can't say what car because i don't want to be known in case the owner of the place or Rafi (salesman) finds it.
After using the car for some time, its been a blast to own it and feel sorry i have to sell it. Its up for sale now and a very interested buyer contacted me just yesterday asking for the chasis number. Prior buying the car i took it to some trusted mechanics of mine and they said all looks great, the mother dealiership said the km's on board are true so all clear there, but didn't think to check for previous accidents since the car was mint and with very low km done. So now back to the guy that wanted to buy it, he got back to me saying he's not buying it because it had two major accidents in the past.
The bad part is that when i asked the salesman if the car had any accidents in the past he said NO, it was kept in a garage for 5 years and kept as a trophy car.
So my advice for you guys is to always check the cars with the police and don't buy from dodgy dealers, or even if you buy from them.. check it thoroughly, sometimes that free 3rd party warranty is not worth it.

I really hope this helps someone, i really wish i knew that things like this can happen in dealerships, my first car , my first big mistake but a big lesson has been learned.

Your trusted mechanics and the main dealer both say it checks out but a random buyer says it's had 2 major accidents ... who do you trust most? ... and what defines a "major" accident?

You're not the first that that has happened to... an ex-colleague of mine bought a lovely looking Jag XKR from a 'trusted' dealer in DXB
In short order it turned out to have been written off then bought and put back on the road by said dealer....

Despite my colleague having the car jigged and made as right as possible it was never totally sorted and he sold it (honestly) for a huge loss not long after.

Caveat Emptor in the Middle East for sure, even at the best of dealers.
