Hi

Can any folks who have passed through Rouen last week/this week update me on the conditions? I will be passing through there going south a week today and would be grateful of any up to date news on traffic etc

Cheers smile

I went through Rouen two weeks ago today. Because I knew of the bridge closure, I followed directions from the website www.about-france.com which worked well. It was around 10pm though. My sat nav was hopeless of course.

The tunnel before Rouen was closed last weekend, as it was on Le Mans Classic weekend. If you use Google maps with traffic view you will see the closure shown and the red queuing on the approaches..

To avoid problems, particularly on Saturdays, you are still best to take the long diversion to the north and west of Rouen via Yvetot. It may be longer but it is much less hassle.

I think I found it on some ebsite about France;

A29 - dir Le Harve/Caen
A151 - Rouen Dieppe
A150
N1338
Cross thr Seine then A13
A13 Caen
A28 Alencon/Le Mans (which is where we are heading)

Does that make sense?

Cheers smile

I amnned up and drove via the Paris route in the end. Fine going S/W but the sat nav took me into the centre of Paris on the way back yikes

We made it out OK though via a detour through the suburb of Poissy smile
