Just got my entry through for the concours on friday night and the classic rally on Saturday.

Hi, see you on the Champs about 1900ish will look out for you we are staying in the Campanile 15th to 19th leaving UK 11th as there is no rush when you have retired and our trip is 2 weeks. BLUEST where form in Lancashire we are from Blackpool.

I'm racing in the 911 on the Sunday. Larousse grid. I'll be giving it my best shot, but primarily trying to stay out of trouble as i don't want to bend the car or me!

Terry if you get into town early enough you should get parking in the Champ de Mars car park. They like to let in interesting cars like yours.

We may be there in a red fiat coupe lhd or a white rs 200 Clio on uk plates.

The weather forecast doesn't look as good as I hoped.

Was hoping for plenty of sun so that we can observe the French Flange that you see down there.

Looks like there are a few of us from Lancashire going down. Unfortunately we will have some Yorkshire people in our group but they are Ok.

And it looks like the weather might be ok. Last year it was very wet going down on the Friday and we were in an old Mustang with single speed wipers..

Well done VR on the win. Lots of nice looking cars parked around the city, but not mine whilst I await the installation of the new engine

We've been going since 2003 when it was not such a big event as now. The heats and final for the main GT race is quite a climax to a great weekend of cars from many decades. What looked like a Tarmac rally mk1 Escort destroyed a quality field in the final and all the cars got a huge reception in the very tight paddock. Angouleme is on my circuit bucket list just behind Spa.

The Escort was an RS1600. I was bouncing off the rev limiter in third in the 911 along the Cathedral straight and he came past me on the inside like I was standing still! Frankly made everything else look daft. Superb car with a driver to match.
