I enquired about an entry a few years ago and the first thing they asked was the car HTP current. Looking at some of the entries this year I would doubt this rule is enforced. We followed one of the Bugatti racers home to Chalais and he was hitting over 90 mph on the straights. The winning Escort had Michelin rally tyres which kept the backend in check unlike the chasing Porsche.

There was also a 911 on slicks, which are not allowed according to the regs.I think a lot of the rules are a paperwork excercise to keep the FFSA happy. The reality is a lot more relaxed.

We did this event at the beginning of the 90s and we got free entry to the rally in those days. A photo from 1992 of some of the entries in those days and one of the first time a Frenchman hit my car!

Haven't been for years now, probably not this century in fact. Congratulations on your win by the way.

Thanks Tony, you should try to get down again...........although entry for the rally is now 300 euros for a car and 2 passengers!!!!

Hope that the E-Type repair is going ok.

Cheers
