I'm assuming it's possible as long as you affix the rfid chip to the windscreen and keep the leftovers elsewhere in the car?

Don't even stick mine to the window anymore. Leave it in my wallet or glove compartment. Seems to run off the number plates as I've never had a fine.

I wish I had thought of this in the early days. My 911 got shipped to the UK and has been running with the bloody thing still permanently attached to the windscreen. Tried everything to remove. Thankfully I had to replace the windscreen recently...

That's might tempting as long as it applies to all!

Other option would be to slot it in the sun visor but I don't know whether proximity to the roof would affect it.

Sun visor works. Never had an issue, just tuck it in the slip for parking passes etc.

Mine are trimmed on both cars, no issues at all.

Mine is stuck to the windscreen. Why would you not stick it to the windscreen? I don't understand!

Never stuck it on the windscreen in my Jeep - just left the paperwork in the glovebox after getting it and made sure it was topped up. As someone else has said, there is a second layer of checking in the gates which runs off the numberplate so there's no actual need to have the tag visible. It's not a legal requirement to have Salik, so no reason to sully your windscreen with it.

Proper ugly. Wish I never stuck it in the Land Rover, I was new and naïve then. But glad I don't have the orange eye sore in my other car.

I knew Rich had OCD tendencies - I never knew it was a requirement for the forum! smile

A little orange sticker FFS.

I like the fact it sticks to the windscreen, means when my Salik or MPAY app throws a wobbly, I can easily find my details (as happened last week). If it wasn't stuck to the windscreen I would have no idea where it was. I also have a sticker stuck to windscreen telling me when the next service is due as otherwise I would forget that too. I guess that is not the done thing either? Does it make your skin itch? wink

In your massive yank tank, it's tiny as the screen is huge. In a sports car etc it takes up half of the screen. Eg: hideous wink

.

Next service due sticker is on the door slam tongue out

Please tell me yours is wonky Chris for maximum OCD irritation effect as well?

In the mini, with all the other gubbins for lights and radar, if it were stuck in, it would be sighted probably below eye level (well not your eye level Rich), hence the sun visor.

Yep.. trimmed mine on the Ferrari down to the size of the actual chip, affixed behind the rear view mirror it worked perfectly.
I've actually left it in the car even though it's now in the UK as a part of its history
