Enjoy the beer

OK guys can you help?

We are staying a couple of nights in or around Munich on 10 / 11 August on our way to Salzburg. Going to take in BMW Welt and Museum Though factory is on close down.

Any good ideas where to stay? Something traditional would be fine. Got a 640d GC and am a little picky where I leave it

Ibis have a place on the north side of Munich, quite close to BMW Welt.
Just outside the Umweltzone and close to the South end of the Autobahn 9.
Ungererstrasse 139. Basic place, but does the business. I can personally
vouch that the bar is well stocked ;->

Car security really not an issue in Munich, they appreciate cars.

I've seen 340 kmh Lambos parked up in the street no problem,
so a 640D won't even get a second look.

Rolari - I might come and visit that auto meet on the Saturday.

Cargdian K - Agree. No one will give a 640 a second glance in Munich, it is very very safe.
If I am about and you want to meet let me know and I can tell you how to get the most out of your couple of days. The Audi works is only 1 hour tops up the autobahn as well, I used to live next to it.

We are now booked into the Holiday Inn Munich city centre - it turned out for a range of reasons that we can get a staff discount there, and plan to be in Munich 11/12 August prior to heading further South. We plan to see BMW Welt and the Museum, but will probably just go round on our own than do an official tour. The factory is shut for the fortnight we are in Germany, unfortunately.

Me again in this Thread.

If some of you are planing to visit Munich during August 2017 you must visit this event. It takes place at the complete new area of the MOTORWORLD Munich. This isn't a typical US-Car-Meeting. Organized by "Corvette Club Bayern" is the second focus on vintage cars and sportscars like Ferrari, Lamborghini etc. There is also a very nice special show with very rare cars.

Always actual also here >>> https://www.instagram.com/ccb_sommerfest_2017/
