I'm trying to get hold of steering wheel from eBay kleinanzeigen, the item doesn't appear on eBay.de or uk.

http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeigen/s-anzeige/r3...

I have sent the seller a couple of messages (using Google translate) but not had a response.

Can someone in Germany contact the seller for me and find out if it is still available and what payment he will accept. And if the would be willing to ship to the UK.

I would really like to get hold of it as VW want £1,200 for one! and I need it to complete a DSG swap into my Mkiv R32 see here: http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Thanks, Kieran.

Hello Kieran,

I tried to get Mr. Wevelsiep (the seller) by phone but he is not available at the moment.

I also wrote him your request as a note and will se how he responds.

Hello Kieran,

the seller is still unreachable, but I found another one :

http://kleinanzeigen.ebay.de/anzeigen/s-anzeige/go...

Slightly dearer, but I have just phoned the seller and he will send me his E-Mail

so you can contact him directly for further Progress. He told me he can read and write english.

He must remove the airbag for shipping and safety reasons but if you have an original R32 wheel the

bags should be interchangeable, as the Price is VB(negotiable) you might shave a few Pound off for that.

If I get the adress I will send by pm.

Hi Benni,

Thanks for your help, it's really appreciated. Unfortunately that one is for a MKV Golf so won't fit my car as I need the MKIV version.

I tried to reach the seller by phone or mail several times but never succeded,

strange, so better keep looking out for another one.

Herr Wevelsiep, you are a time-waster.

Guys, i'm sorry to hijack this thread, but I wonder if Benni could help me?

I have been trying to contact the seller of these wheels;

http://www.quoka.de/reifen-und-felgen/alufelgen/c9...

I have sent two messages I have written using Google Translate.

I am prepared to arrange my own courier to collect the wheels and would pay the asking price of E350.

If you are able to help I would be very very grateful!

Hello Nick,

sorry for the delay, I looked at the advert and the seller has "Pick-Up only",

seems he does not want the hassle of mailing the wheels.

This is about 60mls away from Frankfurt out in the sticks so if they are not rocking horse poo,

I am quite unwilling to travel and put the cash up front.

Are there more here on german ebay from sellers that will post ?

Hi Benni, thanks for your help!

These are the same wheels;

http://www.ebay.de/itm/Lorinser-Felgen-r107-/25188...

But I think they are pick up only as well. I would be happy to arrange a courier to collect the wheels.

Nick

Guys, I am back and forth every few weeks to Düsseldorf in a usually empty estate car.

I know it's probably not right to accept help from some idiot on the net, but refer to my Retro Rides thread as I've helped loads of people out bringing back German parts
http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/164216/offe...

Paying 100 plus quid is daft to get wheels over the water - I charge beer. beer
