Not a 9000 I'm afraid, but my 9-5 Aero I bought after selling my 9-3 (which is also in this thread). Really liking it, and will be taking it to stage 3 in the not-too-distant future. I actually bought it in June but only just realised it isn't on here!

And because the sidelights were yellow, and the fog lamps may as well have been candles, I replaced them with LED's. Looks better now.

Last picture isn't great I know tongue out

It's a manual, so 3rd and 4th gear pulls are very satisfying smile

New to Saab's but very pleased so far with my recent purchase of a pre-facelift but 51 plate 9-5 Aero Estate, so a 230bhp car with a manual box in solid black and beige leather.

Done a not inconsiderable 247,000 miles but came with 19 stamps from a single Saab main dealer and looks and feels like it's done half that amount. Just had a new clutch and rear dampers, an headlamp upgrade and has a 12 month ticket on it so good to go.

I've got some Nokian all weather tyres to go on it once the alloys have been refurbished. As an indication of how well looked after it's been, it came with four matching Michelin tyres, I'll store these and put them back on in the summer.

It needed a few minor cosmetic improvements as the rear badge had delaminated, the n/s rear light lens had a crack and the shark fin had peeled away - these have all been fixed while I'm currently stripping the fuel cover back to metal and painting that and I've touched in a few stone chips, while the interior just needed a shampoo and some new mats to make good.

I'm deeply impressed with the speed, the comfort and the space; it lacks a certain amount of feedback but it is an excellent drive and exceptional value and I wonder just how many miles I may yet pile on - what's the highest mileage 9-5 in service?

It was on 60,000 when I bought it in June, so not much more now, I don't do many miles per year smile

Other than what ive mentioned on the thread already, its recently had high output fuel pump, aluminium dump valve (not atmospheric!) and the new ECU.

I'm really happy with the car now. It drives round town much better and on the open road it's awesome. The power kicks in a little bit earlier and it revs into the redline.

I'm not sure if its worth it but im using the shell optimax fuel as it does increase performance and hopefully looks after the engine as well.

It's a shame there arent more 9000 pics on the thread. Definitely my favourite Saab.
mine too, I've got a metallic blue anniversary with beige leather, ECU mapped by jules, a 95 fuel pump and T5 uprated to T7, can't think of many cars I'd prefer although not had a grip of a nice 95 yet

Good man. Thats more like it.

They do look really badass in black. I remember keeping my black 9000 carlsson clean was a pain but it did look oh so lovely on wash day. Shame the rest of the car was terrible. I was so desperate for an example of that model that i ignored my gut feeling. It should have made alarm bells ring when the guy told me he had bought a ford probe to replace it. Live and learn.

Can you tell us about the car? And maybe some better photo's? wink

You dont see many metallic blue ones so be interested to see some photo's. Hint Hint.

For me they look best in black and um, scarabe green. I know it's weird but i like the green for some reason.

The silver is probably the most practical colour as it can be filthy and you'd only notice up close.

Thank you very much, been meaning to update my readers cars thread for a while as I'm about to get her back on the road with a few further upgrades.

Feel free to have a look here and let me know what you think.

Cheers guys.

Apache, glad to hear it's still going well! What sort of power is that putting out? My dad had an early CS 2.3T in scarab green, K132 AVN IIRC.

Anyway, here's mine - 2 years ago I bought it for buttons to get me through the winter. Just keeps passing the MOT! Planning on going for a stage 1 remap soon.

Great idea NCoT - about time you had some more power!

Your car's looking great too, new wheels?

I know you're not planning on doing much handling wise but the front strut brace on these really helps. There's one for sale on UKS too right now I think.

Hi all, here's my new car. The car had a full shakedown today and generally good news. Needs about £500 spent to make perfect but it's totally rust free and paints stunning.
