Ive heard alot of bad things about the Maptun re-map, plus the BSR one comes with Launch control, 5bhp more and 10NM more, its cheaper and most importantly it comes with 2 year warranty.
Im certinately not trying to preach as its each to their own etc. but thats my personal preference.

Have you looked on Uksaabs? Some very knowelegdable people on there and practically no one uses Bsr, Maptun have a very good reputation in the Saab community but if its a 2.8T you have take a look at Jzw tuning, pay once then get as many free updates as you require as you add hardware, thats what i.m running and cant fault it
The Uk distributor for Jzw mapping runs a turbo x himself

Well seeing as there doesn't appear to be a 'new' 9-5 on here, I'd better remedy that . . .
Wife screaming (it's her car!), kids in the back giggling!
Bought from new three years ago, just sailed through it's MoT. A few problems, but as the warranty went at the same time that Saab went tits up, luckily there has been nothing serious. It *does* like to get through front tyres though, so have started to use Maxxis on the front now. Rears still original at 36k. Brakes (discs & pads) still original.

Very nice, what spec is that?
2.0 TiD SE Vector is the full V5 title !Gearing and power band are all wrong, anything less than 30 mph and it has to stay in 2nd gear. Don't think of putting it into 6th gear at 50 . . .
Sat Nav about 6 years out of date and no chance of an update.
Cruise control doesn't hold speed uphill. But apart from that it's Ok. A very comfy cruiser with acres of space in the back.
Here's my 2001 Saab 9-3 (2.0T B205E with Map Tun 'extras'),bought a few weeks ago from APL Kirkham,Lancs. Ken & Nigel are nice people to deal with & very knowledgeable, but you guys probably know that anyway!

That is very nice. Our current 9.3 Sportwagon has black leather and I miss the nice cream of the previous one (though it could show the dirt..) I do like the polished wood which really looked nice in a previous Rover 45 and an earlier Focus Ghia. I know that wood panels are available but it is a matter of economics - lol.http://s1364.photobucket.com/user/raymartin100/sli...

Small world. My dad owns Y832 OPY. Also 2.0T with Maptun remap and extras. Bought it brand new when he retired still has it 13 years later.http://s1364.photobucket.com/user/raymartin100/sli...
Pete,i'm trying to keep the Grandkids away from the cream leather interior for as long as possible, lol. The wood effect facia looks nice & breaks up the otherwise drab interior in my opinion.
55JWR,your blue 9-3 looks lovely & would be my first colour choice, this is my first Saab & think that it's going to be a keeper. It was first registered on 21st March 2001 by Alexanders Saab of Stockton,Teeside maybe around the same time or place as your Dad's?
One question that you may be able to answer though........why is it when you operate the rear wiper does it wipe three times? Once is sufficient but I do appreciate that the one extra wipe after the three wipes comes in handy at times. Can it be programmed to just do one wipe?
