TD 1.2's ?
"Yessir, nice and cheap with Yokohama Parada Spec 2 tyres on the cheap from a Mk4 Astra. I guess that's the benefit of Vauxhall association. Downside is that the profile is 40, would like a bit more sidewall.

I've had Yokohama Parada Spec 2s on a different car - not impressed with the lack of grip in the wet, so may I politely I suggest you be aware of that once we get to Autumn/winter. When you have worn out the Paradas, can I suggest Uniroyal Rainsport 3s? And pay the little bit extra for the 97 load rating XL tyres - they last a whole lot better.
I live in the Highlands so they've already had a wet test haha but I was canny with that thought in mind. I've heard good things about the Rainsport I'll keep that mind sir! griffin dai said:
Score
I had mine from a Citroen C2 for my old 9000 Aero. Wouldn't mind another set for my 9-3
What's happening with the track car? Must be able to squeeze a b204 in there
Ashamed to say but it's actually my humble XR2 race car. It's currently looking a lot worse than in the pic above... I had mine from a Citroen C2 for my old 9000 Aero. Wouldn't mind another set for my 9-3

New recruit for the garage. It's a '91 900S , it's done 235k but well looked after and with FSH
I really love it. Few things to sort in the future, maybe new springs/ dampers, I thinki it could sit a fraction lower at front, maybe new exhaust. Any advice appreciated or point me in direction of model specific forums.

A couple of pix of my third 9-5 AERO wagon. It's a 2001 MY (last of the MK1 AEROs) Got it in Jan. this year with a genuine 98K miles on the clock. First registered @ SAAB Great Britain LTD in Marlow either as a Press car or Directors whip for the first 6 months ... then just one private owner (a local SAAB enthusiast) for the next 14.5 years before me. Recently flew thought the 100K mile barrier and still going strong.

I've only had it 4 months, it has low miles at 44k and has been well looked after.
It's running the Maptun Stage 1 currently and its been great (no coil issues yet!)
I put the Hirsch diffuser and boot lip spoiler. I have a Turbo X splitter coming next week so hopefully that will finish the car off.
The wheels are from an RS6 and are 19's.

I do like that diffuser, far more interesting rear than the wagon. Having said that I followed a 2010 diesel wagon today and was struck by how much more interesting mine is with the diffuser and tailpipes versus the diesel version that is just a blanked off slab!
Still tempted to tune mine, but simply haven't got around to it.
I hadn't realised Audi alloys fitted, I just have the standard Saab 19"s on mine.

late in life I am into bright coloured cars - almost everything is silver, grey, black or white now.....booorrriiinnnggggg!!
My TVR is due a respray and is going from blue to yellow, and my daily driver will soon be a red SLK.
That red Aero is truly stunning.....I would have that instead of the red SLK, or my present black Aero.

I agree with you on totally. My TVR is due a respray and is going from blue to yellow, and my daily driver will soon be a red SLK.

Don't mind a dark grey car with nice wheels, or black as your car, but red is miles better. My 'missus' has an Escort in what I originally considered a really drab blue colour, but looks really smart now I think.
I've never seen an original Saab 95 Aero in that Laser Red colour, not even on 'The Web'. I had a Midnight Blue Aero which I really liked.
I had an e34 M5 in either Mugello or Misano Red which looked very similar shade wise. Modern cars are indeed very boring, in every sense.
Must be getting old.
