Mine is in the garage from Thursday night to Monday morning on a trickle charger/conditioner as only using it 3 days a week wrecked my battery too frown

99/V Viggen coupe, bought 2 years ago at 93k now sitting at 112k, minor issues only have been a crankshaft sensor and a wire (not sure which one) that was shorting out. Recently went through an MOT with only a couple of minor advisories.

Today however, it's in the garage as it's developed a coolant leak, great car though so sooner I get it back the better.

Just clocked over 85000 miles, 2001 9-5, and it's been serviced every 5k!

Just went over the 100,00 mark in my '08 9-3 Turbo X
Car's currently at Saabtech Welwyn having a dent fixed, MOT, service and a couple of other bits and bobs.

I've done about 12,000 miles since I bought the car last September

2002 9-5 Aero still going strong on 239000 im thinking would a stage 1 remap be a good idea as its a bit leggy or are there too many miles on the clock.Doesnt use too much oil and still running on original turbo.Any suggestions would be welcome.

I've done c.1700 per year for the last 3 years frown

I'll be selling her next year when we move as its too much car for what we want/need tbh and she deserves to be used/enjoyed more (especially as she has had the SaabNoob remap and goes like diarrhoea with daps on biggrin )

215,000 miles '98 2.3lpt 9-5

Most of these running LPG.

Still has the original exhaust, shocks and turbo (touch wood)

Suffered from all the usual issues. Great cars.

2002 9 3 Aero Hot now on 136000.Bought it as a stopgap but now use it to commute. Had it 3 years and done about 45000 so far. Its a little smokey on startup, but not had any real problems. Sticky rear caliper last summer boiled the brake fluid, and replaced the fuel pump earlier this year. Other than that, just routine servicing.

I sold my old 9-3 at 170k. That was the 1.9 (150). It did have the odd EGR issue, but it also had problems with the wipers, alternator and intercooler. Very comfortable though. I'd probably have another one if I needed a cheap family car again.

Current 9-5 Aero is on 207k. Been pretty good. Only had it just over a year, but in that time its needed two new tyres and the pump for the headlamp washers replacing. Still on the original turbo too smile

My 06 Aero is only on 98k and seems to use no oil. However I'm sure there's a large whole in the petrol tank.

Woo, mine had more miles on it when I bought it in 2004! Where are all these low mileage ones hiding?

It's just passed the MOT at 254k and no advisories smile

1994 900 SE Turbo - 130k first one, still best loved.
1996 9000 Aero - 160k - Scarab Green beast
2000 9-3 SEt vert - 64k youthful toy with depreciation from new
2000 9-5 Aero 230 - 110k more mature desire for more power
2004 9-3 Aero vert - 48k then children, shockingly bad first of the new shape
2002 9-5 Aero 250 - 193k station car alongside TVR, then up to 210k with next owner before he too passed it on
2009 9-3 Turbo X - current station car, 80k at present

All in all, even with the dreadful 2004 car, still the best VFM cars I have ever owned over the years - cheap to buy, cheap to run, practically bulletproof. Fvourites probably the 900SET, the '00 Aero 230 when they were still quite raw before they became all civilised, and the current T-X, but with an honourable mention to the 9000 Aero because: seats.

I'm currently running a £250 2000 9-3 convertible on 242,000m which drives nicely apart from needing to be gentle with the gearbox and I've just bought a 2002 9-5 estate on 141,000 for £207 which needed a crank sensor. I also need to sort the handbrake only working on one wheel and grease the steering column splines. Other than that it's pretty tidy.
Also on the drive is a 1998 9-3 coupe on 130,000 currently SORNed. Bought for £950 at 8 years old and has given me another 8 years of largely trouble free motoring, only letting me down twice. On the day I bought it with a shagged battery and when the drive belt pulley seized.

OTOH the wife bought a Mk5 Espace which has been a pit of money and time... give me a Saab any day.

The mileage on my 2011 9-3 ttid aero will be very high before long! It had 66k on it when I bought it in January last year, it's now just about to turn 100k miles!

I'm averaging 20-25k miles a year so by the time I think about changing I can see it having the best part of 200k on the clock!

It's been fairly reliable, I had a coolant leak, had to replace the EGR, had to change drop links and exhaust downpipe and now my rad fans don't work (I overheated on the way to our holiday!!)

Fantastic far though, it's the estate auto to hugely practical, has 209bhp/330lb/ft so plenty fast enough and handles great. I just can't sit in any traffic jams right now! Lol.

On the drop links how did you know they were worn? There's a noise coming from my offside front.

I got clunks when I went over small bumps. Started on the offside and then both after a while. Easy to change and very cheap too.
