Evening all,

Going to view what seems to be a lovely 9-5 Aero at the weekend and the seller has kindly provided me with the last MOT reference number which has allowed me to check the history of the MOT's on the car.

On the last MOT, the advisories noted are;

Both front to rears Brake pipe slightly corroded (3.6.B.2c)

Rear Both sides Trailing arm has slight play in a pin/bush (2.4.G.2)

Whilst the corrosion might be something i could live with until next year (unless you think otherwise!), i'm not sure how much "slight" play might be on the bushes.

Would it be possible for anyone to give me an idea of the cost of rectifying both the issues? As this would be my first Saab, i'm not familiar with the costs of such jobs and need a bit of a hand.

Thanks in advance!

Are you doing the work yourself or looking to get a garage to do it? If you have a local indy close by just ring them and ask them for a quote.

Parts alone should be easy to tot up, for instance there's a bloke on UKS who is doing a full set of braided lines for £60 I think. Bushes are around £10-£15 each I think and fitting cost will vary on how long they take to remove.

Thanks for replying.

I should have mentioned it would be a garage doing the works - i've no mechanical ability other than removing the biro lid to sign the cheque!
