Recently taken ownership of a Saab 9-3 Aero 2.0t. No real issues that my usual mechanic cant deal with apart from the audio. So anyone know of a decent specialist. Based in Sunderland but travellingis no issue

Hi John, it might be worth posting the question on UKSaabs forum.

There are quite a few Saab Indie's in our area but be warned the 9-3 Audio is not the easiest to change!

I've used one located in Newton Aycillfe which might be a bit far for you. Only used him one and will not go back, I won't name and shame but Google will lead you to why.

I think there is a Saab Specialist at Bridge End Works, Ryhope Road in Sunderland that has a good rep.

I'll pro take mine to Alexander's in Stockton for the next service, not the cheapest but a good reputation.

Ask the chap who runs the `serioussaab` website - he`s up in NE & may even do some work independently.

Just a quick update John.

Just got my Aero back after a service at Alexanders, very impressed with the level of work & knowlege on the cars. Even took 10 min out to chat about Saabs and odds & sods.

They have three different types of service available, all at a set price.

Would recommend and will use again.

Thanks for the info, i will keep them in mind

Managed to get a broken spring, worn suspension arm and a service done by my usual guy. Cars running nicely, bit of a clonk on rear left think its the suspension bushes
