So before I get grumpy with my mechanic wanted to check the vast PH knowledge bank for advice

Last week had the rear shocks replaced on my 9-5 Estate. Used all week but only short journeys. Tonight whilst driving had the warning noise go off and 3 warning lights appear on the dash. 1 was the traction control light, didnt catch the what the other ones were before they turned off but T/C one has stayed on.

On getting home did the home mechanic thing of switching the engine off and back on. Yeah its gone.....I am a geni....damn its back on. Looking at the handbook dosent really help so possibly any link between the shocks and the fault ? Obviously without knowing the fault code its a bit vague but any advice welcome. Thanks

I wouldn't be too hung up on it being due to the work carried out at the back but it wouldn't do any harm to check the connectors around the rear hub.
I'd be checking out the ABS rings up front, one of the guys nearby had that issue with his 9-5 and I'm sure new rings sorted it out.
Something else that happened with my 9-3 was that the ABS module had dry solder joints, I'd randomly get the lights going on and off as well as losing the speedo.

Let us know how you get on with replacing that.

I have had the same warning start appearing each time for the last few weeks. Doesn't appear until you touch the steering wheel so I suspect it's the same as yours. Not had time to plug my code reader in yet.

Fingers crossed its a cheap and easy fix.

Mines a 2.8 9-3 cabrio aero.

First time I have used the car over Xmas / New year was yesterday taking my lad back to his Army base it Tidworth, which for me is a 350 round trip.
Weather was lashing it down the entire way there, stopped on M40 services, on restarting T/C warning light binged back on....and this time he brought his mates, ABS / Handbrake / Stop. Turned on and off and they had gone again. FFS. Re joined motorway, 5 mins later all lights back on....followed by the speedo / rev counter dying. Caused a bit of panic I must admit but car was running fine ? All linked ??
Got to Tidworth an hour later and parked up for a couple of hours before returning home. Everything now back to normal including speedo for the entire trip back ? Odd. Booked in for this week but wasnt the most pleasant trip

Mines been playing up in heavy rain, TCS fault, Stability Control fault, ABS fault. These stayed on until I pulled up over night then fine again for a few days until it lashed down again.

I think it's something like an ABS sensor on mine.

The garage should have tech 2 there if it's a Saab one, that'll pull up any fault codes.
