So the car started fine at Gatwick, then as we hit traffic on M25 it started to splutter at slow speed, after the engine light came on (see attachment), we came to a halt in slow lane and it cut out. We tried to restart it, which we could but only if you switched it to 1st very quickly. If left in neutral it cut out. From then on we had to keep the revs up to stop it cutting out. This was dangerous becaue if you let them drop at speed or round a corner the engine cut, cutting the breaks and steering column. Later in the journey it just felt very stuttery, and shuddered quite a lot.it was a real arse to drive in that condition, and was very dangerous.
