Can anyone help with where to buy the xenon bulb for front headlight for a saab 9-5 Aero Estate (2002) ?

Also do both need to be replaced at same time or just replacing the blown bulb will be ok ?

Any good websites for these bulbs ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi

I bought one for a 93 from Europarts, 2 months later I bought a second from Europarts, so yes, I would recommend you change them both at once, but that said, it spread the pennies out over a couple of months, they are not cheap, about £60 I seem to remember.

I got 1 for my 95 from halfords with a trade card for about 30 quid. Only did one and it has been fine. About 18 months on now and only starting to see the flickering in the other one now.

Halfords will only sell the bulbs as a pair when I spoke with them and thats £120.00 plus £10 for fitting each bulb.

Would it be a good idea to let them fit the bulbs as I know there is a little bit or work required and £20 for both doesnt seem bad.

Sold singularly but they might have recommended changing in pairs. It's not hard to replace - no more complicated than a normal bulb but you need to make sure you discharge then first by disconnecting the battery for a bit i think. Just Google it for more info.

If you know someone with a halfords trade card, you could get it for £40 like i did.

Hi

No need to disconnect the battery, the way the fitting work it ensures the power is disconnected before the bulb comes out.

Re fitting, mine was a 93, needed to pull the bumper forward to get the headlight out, no access from the rear.

Instructions on google say to remove bumper, I managed with the help of my 14 year old to undo most of the fixings, and just prize one side forward to gain access, he held it forward, whilst I removed the headlight.

Quite straight forward.

Good luck!
