Resetting the Service Indicator on 9-5?

Saab 95 2008 (58model)

apply clutch and brake pedal
switch ignition on
wait for service due to appear
push and hold clear button
keep pressed until the word service appears ( this may take a few seconds so be patient)

When the car is turned on with the key to get the 'Time for Service' message simply press and hold the clear key without releasing until the 'Cleared' meassage and 'Service' message has been displayed. The press and release of the clear before the press and hold does not work on my car.

Same here 2005 saab 95 Estate vestor 2.0t and the above worked where the press to clear and than press and hold didn't.
