telling the 9-3 turbos apart
Discussion
Low blows (150bhp)don't have the APC ("boost") gauge. HPT's do but you could be looking at a 185bhp, a 200bhp or a 205bhp version.
SE's with APC gauge will be 185bhp
Sports (rare) are 200bhp (not sure that they came as anything other than 3 door?)
there is a very limited run of 200 bhp Aero's with the airflow bodykit rather than the big bumper job
Aero's are 205bhp (these are the big bumpers/kit equipped models)
re-mapping the low blows gets you to around 220bhp. above this you will need turbo and intercooler upgrades - you could retro fit the TD04 and x-flow i/c from an Aero
seeing many Aero verts for not much money currently, certainly more of these than coupes around

Hi guys new here
Just got a saab 93 se convertible turbo
Just had a turbo back exhaust fitted
K&n box filter
Booked in for a stage 2 remap what bhp could I be looking at
Don't no what bhp it is standard
The 8th digit on the vin plate is a C
Thanks sean
From the previous page the C is the B205E engine which is 150 bhp, 250nm. Who's doing the remap? saabnoob on the UKSaabs forum quotes 220bhp, 360nm for not much more than the price of a decent meal for 2.Just got a saab 93 se convertible turbo

I don't believe the filter and exhaust give great gains, you're better off spending the money on a 3" downpipe and bigger intercooler + stage 3 map.

standard airbox is good for much more than your current turbo can produce. having said that i do confess to running heat shielded cones with a CAI for the noises.
received wisdom is that upping the system adds very little - a 3" downpipe mated to a standard system is good enough for St3 although, again, i have 3" from turbo back but just for the burbles (and because one of my previous cars came with the system so i just swap it onto the next when i change vehicles)
