It's all looking very promising at the moment. Dates are now confirmed on the Silverstone website and we have paid deposits for two entries.

There's even a provisional entry list with 29 entries and a timetable. So as you say it's looking very promising.

Creventic have moved the Zandvoort 12 hours to the end of May so there's no longer a date clash. Apparently this was at the request of a number of teams so hopefully there will be a few new entrants on the back of this. However I think there was also a date clash with V de V so maybe that's where everyone is off to.

To have 29 before Autosport is impressive.

When you see one set of lights coming up to lap you at night don't pull straight in behind him as he passes, odds are there's another car also passing you right behind him!

Plenty of camping, available at and around the circuit.

Google camping at Silverstone, also the official website has contact details if I remember correctly.

Whittlebury Park have the 24hr listed on their events calendar.
This is one of my favourite sites

Litchlake don't have it listed yet but they are only across the road from the circuit - don't think they were open for the last 24hr but you could ask.

Even though 1st tickets campsite is closer to the circuit, I'd choose Whittlebury (they have electric hookups biggrin)

I have been to all three in the past.

Cheers
Scott

Try and secure the dusk & dawn stints, simply epic - my best memories of racing by far.

I wonder why the change - they used to be right outside the perimeter fence.

Let me venture a few things:
--Loosen your grip on your wallet! 24hr racing is amazing fun, highly addictive but a costly pastime, frightened myself recently when I totalled what I had spent on doing 10 of them!
--Good lights on the car are particularly helpful.....
--Make sure you keep hydrated, a driver drink system is essential, I use a standard 750ml cycle bottle & carrier with a 'Platypus' tube and bite valve, cheap and effective
--Stay off the marbles, pickup can be excessive and it can take such a long time to wear off.
--The key to success is staying out of trouble, look after the car's mechanical parts & lapping say 3 to 5 seconds slower than the ultimate pace of the car BUT doing that every lap without fail under all traffic situations - that is the essence of this lark.

Have fun............
