Possibly me Chris I was on the A2 between coldred and jubilee way around that time. Didn't see any other tivs about. Tried getting in the BHP show in the morning but after 11/2 I got bored queuing and went for a drive instead!

Just awaiting UJ's and prop from BCB in Dover. Exhaust flexi welded and waiting to go on. I have to do engine mounts yet, but want to give part of the chassis a quick coat whilst prop shaft is off, so awaiting paint. Once done, MOT, tax, driver and probably Megasquirt to sort out the shunting. I may get the POR20 blasted off the manifolds too...

You should have shouted me for the prop shaft UJs. I've done loads of them. They're only a Landrover part.
Worth getting to the chassis with a paintbrush while bits are off though. Can be really awkward and a rust trap around the prop/gearbox area.
I was over your way earlier today. Watched the golden arrow steam loco go through Martin mill station.
Amazing to watch and such a rare sight today.

Goes past the back of my house, its a great sound (and smell). I can really see why the steam trains were so popular.

Would there be any chance you firing up your Bridgeport, perhaps helping me to bore my plenum to 72mm? I've looked for a 72mm plenum on the net, but can't find one anywhere!

As for the paint, I have the degreaser and paint arriving this week... online stuff is cheap, but very slow!

Can they be bored that far? Normally the original one is cut off and a larger one welded on. Have you seen a suitable butterfly anywhere or am I making that too? They have to be parabolic in shape not round but I could get the profile from drawing it up on cad.

I don't know. I thought they were bored, but could be wrong. I'll post it on the Chim forum! Mind you, there's a good opportunity for you make a side line in bigger plenums with that machine!

Is it off the car? We can open it out as far as possible then make a butterfly to suit. If it works out I'll offer it on the site. I've just started advertising the speed 6 throttle body bearing mod on here at half the price of specialists. The tricky bit is trying to convince people that TVR 'specialists' aren't the only ones capable of using a milling machine!

I have a spare standard plenum in the garage in you want to have a go with that? Spend posted a reply to my question on the Chim forum, which may make more sense to you!
