They probably made sure everything complied, but were there clear camera symbols or other clear warning signs before you got to the spot Steve?

Think you'll find that they do not need them for mobile cameras, although fixed cameras they definitely do.

I had a scare a good few years ago whilst chasing an M3 along the A14. I was in a V6 Calibra and going flat out, went passed a camera van at many many mph but heard nothing, maybe as I was close behind the M3 they didn't get my plate or speed recording. I tell you what, It did frighten me and I have never been anywhere near that spend since, but as a youth, as I was then, you're indestructible.

I think they do need them for ALL cameras. It wouldn't make sense that they definitely do need them for one type of camera but not another when the purpose of both cameras is identical and the penalty is identical too. It would be inconsistent and unfair.

(Note to mods, Yes, I know, this should be in a different forum!!)

If your car is even partially obscured by anything, the evidence is considered unreliable as reading could be inadvertently taken from the obscuring object.

If the M3 was in between you and the camera van, most likely he got done and you were fine.

Just when you want it to not work, Steve, it was working. Oh dear.

Hope they missed you through all the engine steam venting through the bonnet!
