Tonight's edition of the above (Quest mid evening - 9pm?) features a Cerbera; I know they did one a few years ago, fitting a replacement chassis from RT Racing and as the blurb I've seen somewhere says something vague about being prone to rust and will they have a problem (!) I wonder if this "new episode" is actually a revamp of the old one. Any information about it??
(The other recent TVR one was about an S; Ed said these cars are known for being unreliable and look the radiator leaks - come on it was 20 years old!! Usual misinformation so hope this edition is more balanced although knowing them it won't be although last time they did say they liked TVRs ...)

Episodes shown on Quest are normally repeats of episodes originally shown on the Discovery channel, so I suspect this is exactly the same episode where they change the chassis.

The new series of Wheeler Dealers starts Monday on Discovery.

It's 'new' to Quest. It is not a new series.

As above, its the old one. You can watch Edd use a crowbar when fitting the engine and if you watch closely he damages the powder coating.....

I suspect you are right, however I don't get the Discovery channel so would have seen the Cerbera edition on Quest and that was some time ago so as Quest describe it as a new episode perhaps it is - I'm not holding my breath though!

Did nobody point out to Mike that the Cerbera was not the first 2+2 TVR?

No they were too busy arguing over the damage caused during the engine fitting!

I enjoy it. It occurred to me the other day that it would be good if Edd told us the total man hours out into each car and/or the monetary equivalent at the Edd/real garage exchange rate.

They'd loose money every time which makes the show a mockery but it's still well worth watching just to see the innards of some great cars.

Yeah I know, but it would add a dose of reality. I suspect loads of people watch this show and assume they can restore a Cerb, or an Esprit or a Moggy Minor in three days, and any of us who have done anything vaguely similar will know that ain't the case.

Because they have to edit out a lot of what takes place, I'd be interested to know just how long each car actually took.

Yes it does annoy me as joe public gets the wrong impression so when Mike gets excited at a sale it's a false truth.
There's times when even there sums don't add up let alone the weeks of work involved.
It's when they make a £1500 profit and proclaim it a success that grates me,, Edds time alone will be worth that so they probably made very little.
Still we get to see blokes under ramps pulling old stuff off and replacing with new shiny bits so it's still a good watch.
