I recently purchased new rear quarterlight window rubber seals from a long established Scimitar dealer. Old seals were perished / split and leaking and were cut out to avoid damaging paintwork.

New seals appear to be too large to enter the window aperture in the body. (seal fitted round glass and trim fitted before offering up)
Have spoken to suppliers workshop manager, but they advise they have not used/fitted these new seals

Comparing old and new seals the new ones seem to be slightlier bulkier. Rough measurements indicate new items may be abt 2 mm bulkier in way of the glass groove.

The rubber does not appear to be a good match to the glass shape at the rear.

I have photos which show (a) new rubber on glass (you can see the line of the old rubber on the glass a few mm away), and (b) new and old rubber seals, but unsure how to attach to this post.

I renewed the rear quarter window seals abt 15 or 20 years ago and had no problem installing them. I think those seals would have been original Reliant ones. As far as I recall seals were NA for a while and suspect the new ones have been "re-manufactured" by someone.

QUESTIONS
1. Has anyone recently fitted these seals?
2. If so did you need to trim them to get them to fit?

Any info much appreciated.
Rgds
