I saw a very nice Late model GTE in Esher a couple of days ago, painted in a modern dark metallic grey and fitted with a bike rack on the back it looked great, still a nice looking car today not bad for a 32 + years old fibreglass car using Ford Capri parts.

Since when have the GTE Scimitars been 4-5 grand? I've seen a number for sale lately that are asking anything between £4-6,000. No way are the 5a & 6a models worth that (either restored, in good condition or not) in my opinion, yet you see some sellers (usually a dealer/restorer) trying to sell one for that. And yet Scimitars are supposedly undervalued.

I think you've provided enough evidence there to prove what they are worth! £6k is cheap for the spec and style of a scimitar compared with other contemporary cars so good value too
