Yes, didn't really go with a bang, but on a downshift , Darren heard it instantly and shut off the power, luckily on a steep section and managed to coast all the way back to the trailer !

So new gearset has been decided on, couple of parts ordered from the states, full rollcage being collected on Friday along with a plumbed in fire suppression system

Shafts, bearings and cv's all seem up to the job, will be a standard case with different internals.
