Fellow gooner

1 . AB is a cost option but not on the configurator. I have seen a physical exige in AB and it's not too bad at all but not my bag. I have specced a non standard colour so it's possible.

2 . All black wheels saves you 350 quid . Just select non diamond cut.

3 . Who knows, these will be far fewer s3 exiges in the UK than s2s so standard demand and supply rules apply. This one punches above its weight as no doubt u have read.

No idea on timescales for an order made now. Call your dealer. Let us know

was told yesterday at Goodwood FOS that the book is full up for 2012 already.

aside from cancelled orders and dealer stock cars, ordered now are looking at next Feb.

staggering presence and display of cars at Goodwood. most impressive stand by far. Very proud to see the brand in all it's glory but I couldn't help wondering who was paying for it all...?

all good stuff, but this beggs the question, how many is that to 'fill the books'?

then the next question, why are you not making them (and in bigger numbers) now?

Heard a useless rumour at gw, one of the engineers mentioned a fully titanium exhaust available for the exile by the end of the year.

Another positive review, also answering the Exige S vs 911 GT3 argument pretty definitively for this particular reviewer -

That's almost laughably lame...

Surely it would be relatively easy to get 444bhp?

It would probably void the warranty but yes there are gains to be had, smaller pulley and a remap might be the extent of it.

Unsure what the manifold/exhaust set up is like on these SC'd models but i know the Evora had a somewhat restrictive set up on there. That may be part of the 444 upgrade.

444bhp is probably a bit optimistic? The intake is the standard air-box on both the Evora S and Exige S.

Check out MWR (Monkey Wrench Racing) and see what they have achieved with a similar set up on their S2 Elige.

Bullst, unless you plan on fitting an intercooler and uprated internals, forget it.

You never give up, do you Scuffers. laugh

You're right, the bolt ons are maxxed out, can't be improved upon without spending a fortune, what was anyone thinking of?

Lotus, giving you 100% from the word go with no room for a quicker model since forever.

Don't be so stubbornly stupid.

me? FFS look in a mirror mate.

I'll believe it when somebody credible manages to do something that does not then grenade at the first sign of real work.

you seem to forget that the setup used was designed made by TRD (with Harrop), if they could have got 444Hp from it, don't you think they would have done?

it;s also worth remembering the car they did this for proved to be the end of TRD Australia.

But I guess they are just muppets.....

Again, that was the FSE in the Aurion.

The FE is more reliable.

We'll see what potential these 'hand grenades' have when they come out of warranty. The same engines being used in all these Mr2s we'll just ignore then.

Do you have a list of what was done to the gte engine exactly or just assuming because it says Cosworth on it then it has to have had extensive and expensive work done to it?

Why don't you ask Cosworth?

Are you saying my post is lame or the review itself is lame Scuffers? Either way I am getting tired of your continuing negative stance against Lotus and this particular car. The Exige S has now been tested/reviewed by dozens of drivers for many respected publications both online, including PH and in print. It has been released to almost universal acclaim. I would suggest that all of these reviewers are much better qualified to comment than any of us. Have you driven it yet?

I am all for healthy debate but how can you continue to say it is 'lame' in the face of such overwhelming evidence to the contrary?

in order:

the review is lame, same old stuff might just as well been lifted from Lotus press-releases

If you remember back, the Evora got the same rave reviews - that went well...

Jurno's are cheap....

And no, as there are next to sod all of them actually in exsistance.
