I'm stickin with the compound charged 2ZZ for the 211 project since the goal if I had one is not to make too much power for the rear weight bias of the 211. I'm hoping that the transformation won't create too much of a handling issue and be close to right from the get go...After all it's all about balance so hopefuly not too much understeer but enough to play it safe on the road..
Remember the car is to be driven in the real world and matain the drivability it had before...
When someone else makes real useable power from the V6 I may give it a look since I have the gearbox already.... nah I'm done doing R$D since it's 2012 and only a fool does his own R$D...... Where did I read that ?
I've said I was done before so you never know..
Frank I'll follow your next build very closely as I also now own a 2 11, I have a few upgrades planned myself but nothing on the scale of yours, (Exhaust Full) Hopefully speak to Randy as I now they now have One ready, Paint, re-trim the seats and paint the console, upgrade breaking in some way not sure what else yet like the motorsport rear spoilerRemember the car is to be driven in the real world and matain the drivability it had before...

Chris and I spoke the other day about the 211 aero but for my street setup with it's huge tires. I'm hoping my current Nitron setup will be ok and I'm gonna try and get away without the wing and just use a gurney on the rear..
My speeds are in the 20-120 mph range so we'll see how well the mechanical grip works out first..
I'll be posting all the bits on www.Lotussport.org as it goes along with a few on here...

Want to keep the reliability as good as can be I just can't afford for the engine to go pop so I think I'll stick with the BHP I've got (around 280bhp) the thing takes off like a scalded Cat so God only know how fast your Hybrid Exige is.

Ya gotta come by if you can and we'll go for a little cruise... I'm doing a build thread on www.Lotussport.org where I can weed out the trolls and stay on topic.
In the renderings, looks like it's gonna have wide arches - how are you going to achieve that? Do they get made out of fibreglass and made into the existing clams, or will you be creating completely new panels and basically just using these as a template? I guess the former, otherwise you wouldn't have ordered two lots of everything...
Just curious how it works - how did you do the clams on the Exige? Completely custom, or just hugely modified standard ones?

Brilliant thread Frank, I know (and you know) there are lovers and haters, but you deserve a lot of respect and credit for your hard work, brilliant to read and see what you're doing.
Thanks, guys can hate away but just get the facts right if they wanna bh and if they can do better post it up for all to see.. It is funny to always see the same tools fade away when exposed..Matt wants to do a video as soon as it's back on the road..
This sucker will see some track days when done and just maybe randy will come visit again to post some lap times for the haters...

You've changed your tune; you were slagging Frank off last month.
Do you follow me around? Do I have a stalker? No I don't always agree with Franks responses on forums, but full credit where credit is due, he is also allowed opinions and to speak his mind as much as anyone else.Edited to add: I have not, and never will, "slag anyone off" on any forum, I will post opinions, some may agree, some may disagree, and that's all fine. I also never say anything I would not say to peoples faces, you should know by now I'm actively involved in many PH activities, so not just hiding on an online forum.

All the rads are stayin as is since they do the job in the summer heat and with the condenser out the fans should cycle on less. I never drive this thing in the wet so for me the ABS is not really needed and there is no one around that can tune the ABS brain to stop the intermittent lockup issue..
Frank _ what's the average rainfall for you? Do you just keep the slicks on all year?Gassing Station | Elise/Exige/Europa/340R | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
