Why don't you start your own thread and leave this one ?

Because starting a duplicate thread about Frank's car would be against the rules. We've actually already got one duplicate thread about the car, of course, but there wouldn't be much point me asking questions of him on there, because he's been banned from participating on it.
Hopefully he will ban you from participating on this one too.

Has Frank been made a moderator?! yikes

Seriously though, don't you think we'd be better off trying to get back on-topic? I would genuinely be interested in the answers to the questions I posed above, and I'm sure that many others with an interest in Frank's project would be, too.
Some of your questions are just plain stupid.

Did you not notice Ronins Exige had a windscreen and closed cabin ?

I don't think 211's have them.

Oh, as an aside, Frank, technically, angle of attack should be measured from the centre of curvature (or stagnation point) on the leading edge of a wing to the trailing edge. Your protractor will be measuring to the top of the camber, if you're just sitting it on top of the wing like that.
Oh, as an aside, go away. You are annoying everyone on this thread and probably st loads more who have not posted.

I'm asking what I hope are perfectly valid technical questions on the project. Surely that's what the thread should be about - after all, Frank always professes that his only interest is to share knowledge on creating the 'ultimate' Lotus?

Do you think your personal attacks on anyone who dares question him are contributing anything valid to the debate?
Go away.

You will p1ss of Frank and then you will spoil it for everyone else.

He's not asking for your help or approval.

Why don't you go here http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/gassing/topic.asp?h=0... and p1ss this muppet off. You'd be like 2 peas in a pod.

for the record i don't think TheLastPost is wrecking this thread at all. all hes doing is questioning logic albeit in an irritatingly pompous manner ... but i am learning.

i think franks probably got enough about him not to be too bothered by a pompous nitwit questioning why hes doing something and just get on with it as he did in the past.

What did you do with the clams from the Exige, Frank?

I still think this will have to go a long way to look better, although always preferred the design of the Exige.

Will you wear a helmet? Goggles? Hat?

The rear clam was a total write off and since it was blended into the rocker, the impact from the hit put stress cracks throughout the entire body.
Yeah I liked the Exige too since it was done and needed nothing but be driven. I'm hoping I don't get tired of the no enclosed body thing as I did in my old rotory powered seven.
With my luck I'll be on the road just as soon as the rains come this fall. For me that will mean no Lotus on the road and keep me out of the canyons due to the run off and rocks that are always an inch taller than the splitter.mad

I'll try a hat and goggles first to see how that feels since a helmet on the street will give the wrong idea to the CHP.
No heater, no windows, no roof = no fun ??????? I hope not.

The makings of the exhaust trim ring, keeping the exhaust out of contact with the body is a little tricky with the tilting deck articulation.

Out of interest, is that hoop going to be braced again (I'd guess top right of the second picture)? Never seen a roll-hoop with the "legs" offset as they appear to be. Looks cool though tongue out

Oh yeah there is now a brace behind the driver's left ear to the bar. The x is still to be welded and the front bar and steering wheel support.
