Too much torque in the lower rpm causing rod bearing issues it seems. So what was a great R$D adventure is now back to a high revving turbo motor.
Compound charging works and works well but the little 2ZZ rod bearings just can't keep up with the low rpm torque loads...
Now I have the same power numbers but peak torque coming in 1,000 rpm later but staying up all the way to red line with 6 psi. less boost..
