Whats happening. Has anyone taken delivery of their car. Is the car available. Will the car be produced. My friend has ordered one over here in France but an end of July delivery date has been 'postponed' Apparently now talking Jan 2013. Is this just time wasting. This despite a factory visit three weeks ago which enthralled all the visitors. Whats the point of all this if the cars not coming on line. Any news greatly appreciated so I can inform my friend who doesn't speak any english.

One guy in Germany was posting up some pictures of his new Elise S a few weeks back on SELOC, and some if not all of the UK dealers now have their demo cars in as well, so deliveries have already started on them.
Seems a long delay though. Could be down to colour (as they tend to do cars in groups by colour in the paintshop) or a delay on a particular option?

Had a good nosey at the new Elise S which Brandon of Murray Motors here in Edinburgh brought out to our club run last weekend. So yes, they are out there.
And as I've already posted Exige S production started this week with the first cars out by the end of the month. Murray have their demo car as well and I am off for a peek tomorrow.
Production is gradually ramping up but I accept it has been a most frustrating time for new customers. Be patient, it will be worth the wait....

My French friend still has no sign of his car, delivery date of end of August has come and gone and still no news. Can anyone enlighten me. Have any cars been delivered to real customers. Are they actually being produced. Living in France somewhat dependant on news obtained on the forums.

Sure I have seen Murray's with a couple more Elise S's on the forecourt so suspect they are readily producing them. Surprised your friends dealer is not able to give you him details.

My wife & I had a test drive in an Elise S on the 4th Sept at Westover Sports cars in Poole (& kerbed a wheel going round a roundabout, bugger), really enjoyed it & put an order in the following day. Hopefully it'll be delivered around the 20th Oct. Specified the sports & touring packs, the black pack & 14 spoke forged wheels, didn't want air con. This will be our 4th Lotus (2 Elise 111S's & an Exige S)so it'll be interesting to see how it does on road & track.

Ours is specced in ardent red with black pack and touring pack. Very exciting. Just had a visit to the factory which was absolutely amazing!

Seeing orders placed but nobody seems to have taken delivery. Any real information concerning cars physically delivered to owners (not dealers) and perhaps an idea of proposed delivery dates in the UK.

Over in France my friend has had the date put back to the end of October. He's concerned because he hears lots of stories concerning a lack of funding at Lotus which means cars are not finished or complete. For example headlamp supplier not been paid so cars are awaiting headlamps. This represents just one of the stories, there are many more. Even his dealer whom I won't name, doesn't have a test car yet despite being one of only 7-8 dealers in France. So far, the only replies on this forum are from people who have placed orders. Just after 'concrete information' rather than peoples thoughts at the moment.

Just for info, when did you order it. Please post pictures. Glad its got headlamps, just hope its got four wheels.
