Hi I've tried to remove the stainless crappy wheelnut covers on my s1 so I can get to the actual nut. I've bust two plastic removal tools and tried long nosed pliers. I don't want to do more harm than good but does anyone have a suggestion to help me? Two weeks before mot due it decided to dump the contents of the rear shocker onto my garage floor so the wheel has to come off.

The plastic tools are crap - bin it. Easiest way is to use a socket - push it on, pull it off. Job's a carrot

I guess if all else fails, drill the end and then use long nose pliers. Never had any problems with the plastic removal tool (other than when I used it on the locking wheel nut in error  )

or, a short length of welding wire, bent in a "U" shape, and 2 small lips bent at each end. Oh, Hi btw, 1st post here.
