Will be interesting to see what it looks like when the gap is filled. I assume he's going to stick a big wing on the back anyway?

cool, that's some engineering and skills you need to make something like that.

Would be rather cool if the exhausts exited through that T.

Only just discovered this awesome project. And while I, like most here, can't wait to see this beast running, I can't help thinking that, if he is refit the original Exige back on it, won't he get a problem with heat?

Having the engine fitted length wise, is going to help a lot with air flow. But will the standard cooling system be sufficient, or is he going to replace it? What about excess heat?

If you look for pictures of the Hennessey Venom GT's engine bay, it is full of heat reflectors and big holes.

It looks like he's done rather a good job of extending the body's dimensions without producing weird proportions.

I saw there is also a RSW Evo on sale with V8 and SC with 520hp, but it looks a bit od? seen prettier RSW models.

That is pretty fugly. Not like you can just buy and bolt on an Exige clam, either...

that red example looks a bit odd against say their anthracite? looking car>

http://www.pilbeamracing.co.uk/news/090108.htm

they go up to 600 bhp so it seems and have some wider track and a bit longer wheelbase I suppose.
most important/interesting (I find) that the engine lays longitudinal and not transverse, thats what I would like in a sports-car.

not that you can make a say normal elise/exige not fast enough biggrin
but those type of Lotus based cars with their longitudinal engine are pretty rare too.

I would love to see that Lotus did this also with their Elise/Exige cars, like say the old Europa's s1 and s2 etc.

point is though that none of these cars have ever really demonstrated anything other than being insanely expensive.

I have never seen any evidence of one actually being on a track other than for a photo shot, god forbid actually demonstrate any real performance (ie, more than a std layout/shaped Elise/Exige).

same goes for the RST engines, where are they all? if they were truly that great, don't you think there would be a few out there by now doing something?

I think the fact the advert says he would PX for a M12C kind of says it all, I am dam sure he would, a real car for a white elephant!
