This was my first ever Lotus way back.....well......many years ago now. whistle

A sensibly tweaked S1 that replaced my box-of-frogs Caterham R400 -

From what I can remember it had -

Different head
Uprated suspension
DeCat
Pagids
R/diffuser

Was a fantastic car and I really wish I had kept it now frown

Hi Ben, I'm still smitten with the JC you sold me in 2009, the only motor to keep me entertained for this length of time.smile

Thank you. Really good looking items. Will have to look at securing some of those later this year for the Elise.

Having bought my car I'm just so happy with it. OK it's silver but I think its wonderful and thats what counts the most. Notwithstanding, I think yours in Chrome Orange is totally stunning, if not more so. I have no regrets. Would probably put orange at the top of my list for colour and the black wheels set it off a treat. As a Chrome orange owner do you find yourself 'hankering' after a different colour, and if so which one. Congrats on the car.

That could have been me writing that post!!

Now I have got the spec of mine almost to completion, the final step of my project is to respray the car orange...

Thanks for the complement, Orange was the colour I always wanted (I previously owned a metallic yellow S1 Elise) and I was just fortunate that I contacted a friend who owned a Chrome Orange Exige and asked if he wanted to sell it to me, which he did. When I was looking all the Exige's forsale where either grey or blue.

I had a list of 3 colours I was after:

1. Chrome Orange
2. Krypton Green
3. Black (stealth look)

I do like a black Exige yes

I had a black S a few years ago that I had the wheels refub'd silver and I thought it looked great. Also put a slightly larger diameter suede steering wheel in it, I loved that car cloud9

Guys, too many photos of Elises and Exiges in their uncharacteristic operable state. Let's get back to normality, shall we?

You may remember this Exige from such breakdowns as "the Bruntingthorpe gear linkage disintegration":
