Hi All,

I am after an ECU for an S2 Elise with a K-Series engine.

The exact part number is:

B117M0039F

Any suggestions on where to source a used one would be most appreciated. Or, if you have one that you are looking to offload, please can you let me know?

Much obliged.

As an alternative the Emerald K3 or K6 ECUs are popular replacements and they have plug and play adaptors for most Elise variants: http://www.emeraldm3d.com/emerald-k6-ecu-generic-3...

Plenty generic maps available for them too if the engine is fairly standard and can be remapped in future if you increase power.

Thanks for the tip, but I am just after a replacement ECU as quickly and cheaply as possible to get the car back on the road. In the last week, one was sold on ebay for £85.

I'm trawling PH for previous topics similar to my current query, looking to replace ECU on S1 Elise. Non VVC car, possible MAP sensor issue which is in ECU itself. This old thread looked similar but I am curious to know how it turned out.
Question I have is, if replacing ECU with second hand one, what needs to be done to match it to immobiliser? I gather you cant just swap one for another. I am not in UK so Lotus and Rover support and experience is a bit limited locally. Does the replacement ECU need recoding? Can this be done without access to donor vehicle?
I'd rather not bypass the immobiliser and have no real need or desire to spend more on a programmable aftermarket ECU if I can avoid it.
Any advice appreciated, thanks.

you either need the ecu, alarm unit and key fobs all as one set or you can go to a specialist to get the new mismatched set programmed.
