Hey. 1996 Elise S1, bog standard. When the lights are turned on, the passenger (left) front orange indicator light isn't on. When the left indicator is engaged, the flashing goes "bright-dim" as it should. I have checked the bulb and both filaments are intact and working. Will fitting a new flasher relay fix the problem or should I be checking something else first?

Cleaned the contact points in the connector as you recommended, Scuffers, but the problem remains. Both filaments are definitely intact and operable. Any other ideas?

Out with the multi meter and check the wires individually

You looking for shorts between them...

Still having a problem pinpointing the electrical problem, but have narrowed it down to the bulb plug, so will try to replace that and see if it makes a difference.

Thanks, everyone. It was the bulb housing which is a cheap piece of plastic crap; one of the contact points was bent out of shape and completing the circuit where it shouldn't have been. The bulbs on both sides don't clip in properly and wiggle themselves loose. It's all working now but will have to come up with a more permanent solution at some point.
