I assume you've had a test drive or two? smile

Simply nothing else is as light, raw and direct yet usable every day.

Did you test drive it while typing?
You love it but I'm not sure nothing else will do.

I don't think I would swap mine for anything short of a Zonda!

Only had my first Lotus, S2 111S, since Feb but it's a keeper. It did take me a couple of weeks to really bond with it but now I prefer it to much more expensive alternatives. It has even taken the shine off 911s for me. Took a 997 GT3 out for a drive the other day and have to say I wasn't disappointed to get back into the S2. The Porsche somehow felt a bit contrived in trying to deliver a driving experience which comes a bit more naturally to the Norfolk alternative.

Why won't anything else do, its an easy answer

Its a Lotus, you either get them or you don't but the cars and Lotus's history are ethreal

To drive a lotus can sometimes be like an out of body experience and some models can be as rare as finding a Unicorn. smile

Its abit like Heineken, that reaches parts other beers caanot reach. Once you've owned one there is very little to compare. Still, not for everyone. I'm on Lotus number 5. Never ever wanted a porker. Lotus rules! Welcome to the club.

I'm on my 5th Lotus but I wouldn't say nothing else will do, I owned a Noble M12 GTO 3 for 5 years and loved every minute.

I always wanted a Noble and even had a test ride in one at Kerridges...definitely very fast. However, whilst following one on a trackday a few months ago in my Evora S I was surprised to se it spin off in front of me! I get the impression the Noble is a fantastic drivers car but you have to know how to drive it, whereas the Lotus is the same but better set up. I definitely like the Nobles straight line performance!

You're right about the Noble it is a very quick car mine was 425 BHP with 420 Ft/Lb torque, very quick in a straight line but difficult around the corners.

The Lotus not quite as quick in a straight line but much quicker around the corners, I'm talking on track here in both cases.
