Hi there, I've had a bit of an issue over the last few weeks with my Exige just suddenly cutting out. When the ignition is then turned on again, I notice the fuel pump does not prime - and it doesn't restart... I think I've traced the issue to somewhere in the region of the relays on the bulkhead, one of which (the top one) seems to get really hot. Is this normal?

Can anyone confirm what relays these should all be on the bulkhead, should they all be the same?

Thanks

Sounds like it could be the fuel pump fuse.

The contacts on the fuse holder can become corroded, and the resistance goes up, hence the heat. You can pull the fuse and clean up the holder with an emery board or similar.

More info can be found here SELOC tech wiki

I had this exact issue - it kept cutting out. Turns out, one of the fuses (I assume it was the fuel pump) was carrying far more current than it should be and was actually melting the fuse.

While it was being diagnosed, I used to drive around with a box of fuses to swap them out on the fly biggrin

In the end, my garage bypassed that fusebox and put a separate run in for this specific fuse :S Wasn't my choice to do it this way...but it worked.
