Dear Lotus Elise S1 specialists.
My S1 just won't start. Happen during a short "pit stop". My initial thought was that the immobiliser was the failing part.
The engine just didn't react at all. As trying to start w/o using the immobiliser key.
I bought an "immobiliser by-pass" and connected this one.
Guess that happened? ....or not happend 😢
I can hear an silent click when trying to start, but not a sound from the starter or fule pump.

Where should I start to look? ECU or is this simply the starter?

Thanks in advance for any input here.

Check the earth lead from the battery to chassis and engine, ensure they have a good contact.

You could try checking for voltage at the starter solenoid as you turn the ignition and also at the fuel pump this would assist in confirming whether the immobiliser is not disengaging.Could also be checked at the relays. Best of luck

Rapid clicking when you turn the key means a flat battery - or a single click if its really flat.
